Camco is one of the most widely used names in RV sanitation, and for good reason. Their sewer hoses and fittings are designed for regular use at campgrounds and dump stations, offering reliable connections that hold up across a range of conditions and setups. Whether you are replacing a hose that has seen better days or building out a complete dump station kit from scratch, our Camco selection covers everything you need. This includes sewer hoses, extension hoses, transparent elbows, bayonet fittings, and storage caps to keep your setup organized and contained between uses. Check your existing hose diameter and connection type before ordering to make sure all components connect correctly at both ends.

What is the difference between Camco RhinoFLEX and RhinoEXTREME sewer hose kits?

Both are 3" Camco Rhino sewer hose kits that use the same bayonet and lug connection system. The difference is the hose wall. RhinoFLEX uses a steel-wire-reinforced polyolefin wall and works well for regular campground dumping. RhinoEXTREME uses a thicker TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) wall that resists crushing and abrasion and stays flexible in cold weather. If you dump often, live in your RV full-time, or keep the hose in a bay that gets very hot or below freezing, the RhinoEXTREME sewer hose kit is the longer-lasting option.

Will a Rhino RV sewer hose fit my RV's sewer outlet?

Most RVs use a standard 3" bayonet-style waste valve outlet. Camco Rhino RV sewer hose fittings lock onto that outlet with a quarter turn. At the campground end, the Rhino 4-in-1 elbow adapter fits 3" slip, 3" NPT, 3-1/2" NPT and 4" NPT sewer inlets. Check your outlet before ordering. Some older trailers and some motorhomes have a non-standard outlet that needs an adapter. If you are unsure, text or call 817-984-1852 with your RV's make and model.

What comes in a Camco Rhino RV sewer hose kit?

Contents vary by kit, so check each listing before ordering. A typical Camco Rhino RV sewer hose kit includes:ul>li>The hose, with swivel bayonet and lug fittings already attached/li>li>A clear elbow, so you can see when the tank is running clean/li>li>Storage caps for both ends/li>/ul>Hose support stands and additional extensions are usually sold separately. A sewer hose kit covers the sewer side of the hookup only. For the power connection at the same pedestal, Southwire Surge Guard RV surge protectors guard your RV's electrical system against voltage spikes and miswired campground pedestals.

How long should my Camco RV sewer hose be?

Measure the distance from your RV's waste outlet to the sewer inlet at the sites you use most. Then add a few feet of slack so the hose can run downhill without being stretched tight. Camco Rhino kits typically come in 15' and 20' lengths, and Camco extensions connect to the kit hose with the same bayonet fittings. Keep the hose on a steady downward slope from outlet to inlet. A level RV also helps the holding tanks drain fully. On uneven pads, Lynx RV leveling blocks are a quick way to level the RV before you connect the hose.

How do I make a Rhino sewer hose last longer?

Dump the black tank first and the gray tank second, so the gray water flushes solids out of the hose. Cap both ends after each use. Store the hose out of direct sunlight, because UV exposure is the most common cause of a breaking-down hose wall. Carry the hose to the inlet instead of dragging it across gravel or asphalt. Replace the Rhino sewer hose as soon as you see cracks or pinholes, or when a fitting no longer seals. A leaking sewer hose is not worth patching.
