Suburban is one of the most common furnace brands found in RVs, and most issues come down to a single worn or failed component rather than the whole unit. Our selection of Suburban RV furnace parts covers the key failure points across the SF, SFV, NT, and SH series, including blower motors, ignition control circuit boards, sail switches, limit switches, gas valves, igniter electrodes, blower and combustion wheels, thermostats, access doors, and duct collars. Suburban furnaces span a wide range of models, and parts are often series-specific, so check your furnace model number and series before ordering. Whether your furnace won't ignite, runs but won't heat, or the blower has stopped, find the right part in our range.

How do I find the right Suburban RV furnace parts for my model?

Start with the model and serial number on your furnace's data plate. It is usually visible behind the exterior access door or after you remove the interior return grille. Suburban parts are model-specific. An SF-30FQ and an NT-20SEQ can use different blower assemblies, control boards, and mounting hardware, so a parts list for one series does not always carry over to the other. Match your model number against the product listing before ordering. Please note that electrical items such as ignition control boards cannot be returned, so confirm fitment first. Our team at United RV Parts can check it for you: text or call 817-984-1852 with your model and serial number.

Why won't my Suburban RV heater ignite?

A Suburban furnace lights in a fixed sequence. The blower starts, the sail switch closes once airflow is strong enough, and then the ignition control circuit board sparks the igniter electrode and opens the gas valve. A failure at any step stops ignition. The most common causes are:ul>li>Low 12V battery voltage/li>li>A sail switch that will not close/li>li>A dirty or misaligned igniter electrode/li>li>An empty or shut-off LP tank/li>li>A failed ignition control board/li>/ul>If the furnace makes three ignition attempts and then locks out, check your LP supply and the electrode before you replace the board.

How do I know if my RV furnace blower motor needs replacement?

The blower motor is the likely cause if it shows any of these symptoms when the thermostat calls for heat:ul>li>It hums but does not spin./li>li>It runs noticeably slower than normal./li>li>It squeals./li>li>It does not start at all./li>/ul>The sail switch needs full airflow to close, so a weak blower also prevents ignition. This means a no-heat complaint is often a blower problem rather than a gas problem. Before ordering a replacement motor, confirm you have a steady 12V DC at the motor terminals. A failing converter or a weak battery produces the same symptoms. If voltage drops under load, check our 55 amp RV power converters before you replace the motor.

How can I protect my Suburban furnace control board from electrical damage?

The ignition control board runs on the 12V DC supplied by your converter. Voltage spikes and low-voltage conditions on campground shore power can damage the converter and the circuits downstream of it, including the furnace board. A surge protector at the shore power connection stops those faults before they reach your RV's electrical system. You can compare options in our Southwire Surge Guard RV surge protectors collection. Keeping your house battery charged also keeps the blower at full speed and the sail switch reliable.
